I didn't realize you got the new truck, congratulations!

Only two of my cars don't run. One is a days work away from running and the other is maybe 3 weekends away. If only I could find 3 weekends.

I need someone to show me how to align my retros. The dude who made em is on here and he does great work but they are wonky and I've tried to align them a few times but I have no clue what I'm doing and I'm afraid of breaking them

I saw a mount for those that goes in the garage door opener holder thingy. Someone Instagram I think. Or FB. They 3d print em and sell em. I bought one for 4 rocker switches. But I've seen em for 5 rockers and for that same panel you have and another similar knock off panel

  10. Hard to beat USAA my auto+homeowners through them is almost less than what I paid just for auto previously.

If you're contemplating looking around like someone else mentioned a broker is a good way to do it.

Doesn't count if they're for different people. :D

I have 5 and they're all for me. The SHO is at the shop getting the rear fenders rolled to stop rubbing.

I think it still sorta counts since I bought and paid for them all. My name is on all of the titles. I do let some of my immediate family members borrow them. But yes, only one is an "extra" car. I haven't gone down the 4 project cars I don't have time to work on in the driveway route. Not sure I ever will.

What I have found for alignment is that the easiest way is to take the corner lighters out and unbolt everything. Then you can spin the vertical alignment nut (the one on the bottom) and the horizontal alignment nut (the one on the top) much more easily to get them coarsely aligned with a 8mm socket and wrench. Using the holes and a screwdriver is an exercise in frustration IMO. A few posts back there was a good procedure and this is what I did. Backed the car up to 10' back from a flat white surface (my garage). Then I marked with two pieces of tape where the center of the beams should be by measuring the center-to-center distance between the projectors (~54"). Then I measured down .75" from the center of the beam to the ground (43.25" with my lift and 285/70R17 tires).

I got the horizontal locked in first because that was way off. Once the beam was pointing straight ahead I worked on the vertical. Driver side first. Get the approach angle at the right height. and have the first step rotated straight (this rotation is what was causing me some heartburn. But I was able to loosen the nut on the projector and rotate it a bit with a pair of pliers and straighten out the beam -- I'm not sure how yours are constructed but this typically isn't possible without opening up the headlight again). Then I adjusted the height of the passenger so that the approach height matched the height of the first step of the driver (for a blended double step, see picture).

Finally for checking, I made sure that the cutoff was underneath the side mirrors of cars that were in front of me and not going into the interior of cars while driving. I know I was doing this with my mini projectors and also my LEDs in the OEM reflectors.

The upgrade is hard to describe, the projector has such an even illumination with no hot spots. It's interesting to compare them to other cars when I am driving at night. Other car's headlights look brighter because there is two hot spots, but the field of vision is so big and clean on the projectors. I would highly recommend this upgrade to anyone that is considering it.

Yeah the rotation is off on mine. My driver shudder slopes up into oncoming traffic's face and the passenger shudder slopes down where I can't read signs. I believe I have mini h4 projectors

If you have the mini h4 projectors, you can rotate those pretty easier with the adjustment screw.
ETA: this was mine with the h4 mini projectors. The beam was all janky too. Compared to the BX Built/Apollo 2.0 shroud, the minis have/had way more chromatic aberration at the cutoff, an uneven and angled fall off at the edges and not enough width to have a smooth double step.

If I think of it this evening, I'll go to the same place with the BX Built retros and take the same picture for comparison.

New windoor struts on today. Wow, sooooo much better. No more hits to the head, the windoors are actually usable.

New T handles coming soon. Really wish someone made an auto lock though, using the key is annnnnoying.

What brand cap? my Snugtop has a upgraded lock called a "prolock" so you only lock it when you want it locked, otherwise you just turn the spring loaded t type handle half way and it pops the mechanisms on the sides

Leer. Replacement T's by Bauer I think, just cheapos. What I want is something to go off the lock/unlock pulse like my Tacoma tailgate and shell. But with old school T handles there isn't anything on the market at the moment. I can see if maybe the popnlock handle fits in the T but I don't think it will.

The shell T handles lock/unlock via interior ball bearing pushing into a collar inside the cylinder. A linear actuator can't access that. I'm not sure this specific product helps, but looking outside of the auto shell truck market isn't a terrible idea. Just that the T handles work fine as-is, minus the power lock situation.

Need advice on swingout plate holder but it's in. Also need new bolts as I had to reuse the hitch ones. Yuk.
